The MAX Goeiedag Haandrikman radio show will also travel in the summer of 2023! through the earth. This time, the Dutch conifers are in the center. Because in many places in our country there is musical soil where the most beautiful conifers have arisen. On Friday July 14, 2023, the 1st stage of the musical summer tour will take place in Volendam.
The most sound
Paling and Volendam are inextricably linked. It is therefore not surprising that the music produced in the fishing village is called Palingsound. The Evergreen Top 1000 is full of songs from the famous Markermeer village.
Thomas Tol
The Cats, 3J’s, Jan Smit, BZN… the list of Volendam artists and bands seems endless. Thomas Tol has been a keyboard player for BZN for many years and is responsible for the music for BZN hits such as Pearlydumm, just an illusion In My love. But also for Jan Smit, Tol is a purveyor of music.
Where does Tol get inspiration for a song? “A lot of the time it’s just a matter of scrambling to get a song out of your fingers,” Tol explains. “But to My love I had a few notes in my head, and then the rest of the music came after that. Bert Haandrikman talks to Tol about his inspiration for the songs, the beautiful Eleni and a BZN meeting.
It’s a very successful start for the summer tour in Volendam. Watch the video below for an impression and listen to more fragments on the NPO Radio 5 site.
