After the chaotic FP1, there was a lot of driving in the second session on Friday. Max Verstappen stayed inside for a long time at first, but eventually came out on the softs. With a time of 1:18.279, however, he failed to match Charles Leclerc’s time. The Ferrari driver was the fastest with 1:17.686. Lando Norris set the second fastest time in 1:17.701, followed by Pierre Gasly in third place.
Daniel Ricciardo, replacing Nyck de Vries, set the fourteenth fastest time. He was about 0.4 seconds slower than teammate Yuki Tsunoda, who took the P4.
