Minister Carola Schouten for Poverty Policy, Participation and Pensions makes 70 million euros available from the European Social Fund (ESF+) for the training and guidance of people to improve their position in the labor market . Training and development funds and social partners can submit applications from the beginning of October.
The grant is for people who have difficulty finding or keeping a job. This may concern, for example, job seekers, status holders and displaced persons from Ukraine, persons without further training or persons with low income from work. The projects aim to provide training and advice. Additionally, employers can receive a subsidy for payroll costs if they hire and train someone on welfare. Money can also be used to support people outside of work, such as housing, care, finances, and physical and mental health.
Apply for a grant
Training and development funds (O&O funds) and social partners can apply for a grant from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment until the end of January 2024. The Netherlands has around 100 T&D funds in the different sectors of the labor market. Applications are evaluated in order of receipt. These are projects with a maximum duration of two years, in which the European Social Fund bears 40% of the costs and the applicant finances 60%. In all projects, attention should be given to promoting equal opportunities and non-discrimination.
Further information on the grant program is available on the ESF+ website from today.
